2024 outdoor spring Youth recreational League

SPRING SEASON IS SET TO KICK OFF ON OUR OUTDOOR FIELD!!

YOUTH RECREATIONAL LEAGUE

The Columbia Rush recreational league is an exciting, fun, and energetic in-house program for players between 5 and 13 years old! Teams will be formed based on age, teammate requests, and coach requests. Rush aims to foster a safe, fun, educational experience for your child as well as a solid foundation for lifetime skills. Come join the Rush family!

SPRING SEASON DETAILS

– All games and practices will be held on our outdoor fields at 2900 Forum Blvd, Columbia Mo.
– 6 week program
– Teams are coached by parent volunteer coaches (volunteer coaches get $55 off their registration fee)
– Each team will receive one practice and one game a week.

VOLUNTEER ROLES

  • VOLUNTEER COACH

    This person is almost always a parent of a player on the team. The coach will be provided with a Rush Curriculum and a Coach’s Equipment Kit. 


    – Communicate efficiently with team

    – Lead team in training sessions (1/week) and on game days (1/weekend)

    – Responsible for finding a sub if ever absent for any training sessions or games

    – Attend pre-season meeting

  • VOLUNTEER TEAM MANAGER

    This role is very important to help our teams have a successful season! We ask that each team provide a team manager for the season to help with communication and organization.


    – Work with a coach to help communicate with the team about the team’s schedule

    – Set up a game-day snack rotation

    – Set up pictures with club media director 

    – Set up an end-of-season party

BIRTH YEAR: 2017/2018

General Info:
Outdoor 4v4
Games and practices are coached by parent volunteer coaches.

2017/2018 Practice and Game Schedule:
– Friday 5pm to 6pm
– Games will be on Saturdays, 12:00pm or 1:00pm

BIRTH YEAR: 2015/2016

General Info:
outdoor 5v5 or 6v6
Games and practices are coached by parent volunteer coaches.

 2015/2016 Practice and Game Schedule:
– Thursdays 5pm to 6pm
– Games will be on Saturdays, 1:00pm or 2:00pm.

BIRTH YEAR: 2013/2014

General Info:
outdoor 6v6 or 7v7
Games and practices are coached by parent volunteer coaches.

2013/2014 Practice and Game Schedule:
– Tuesdays 5pm to 6pm.
– Games will be on Saturdays, 2:00pm or 3pm.

BIRTH YEAR: 2011/2012

General Info:
outdoor 6v6 or 7v7
Games and practices are coached by parent volunteer coaches.

2012/2011 Practice and Game Schedule:
– Tuesdays 6pm to 7pm
– Games will be on Saturdays, 3:00pm or 4pm.

UNIFORMS

All returning players with uniforms from the last season will not need to order a new one!

All new players to the Columbia Rush Youth Recreational League, or players who outgrew their previous uniform, will be required to purchase a new uniform.

The uniform is an additional $30 and comes with a home jersey, away jersey, and a pair of shorts.

LEAGUE COST

LEAGUE COST: $150

Includes:

 – 1 practice a week for 6 weeks

 – 1 game a week for 6 weeks

THE RUSH WAY

Recreational soccer stresses the participation, enjoyment, sportsmanship, skill development, safety, and teamwork aspects of the game. The goal is for the players to learn and fall in love with the sport of soccer.

Our recreational teams are formed by Rush staff and coached by parent volunteers using a “neighborhood” concept. Rush staff will support this volunteer parent with coaching education tools and pre-made training sessions to ensure a great environment for the players.
